Glenn & Rochelle Raddatz opened the Texan BBQ in 1984.  The Texas style BBQ concept restaurant was patterned after BBQ places tucked along the Texas roadside.  The unique atmosphere and the flavorful foods these roadside Inns provided were so influential, they decided to share it with others.  So, the restaurant was opened in Algonguin Illinois.

Following in her parents footsteps, Denise and her husband James Madden continued the tradition and opened a second location in Lombard, Illinios in 2002. (As of September 2008 Lombard is no longer a full service restaurant. Off premise Catering Only)

The Texan Barbeque prides itself on high quality meals smoked to perfection in on-site smokehouses.  Beef Brisket, Pork, Chicken, and our specialty Ribs ranked one of the best in Chicago.
